To provide qualitative education to the girl students of the nook and corner of locality in Charichhak of Puri District and the State of Odisha in general, in the name of Paribrajacharya Sri Sri Thakur Nigamanda, the Institution “Nigamananda Mahila Mahavidyalaya” established in the Academic Year 1982 with Government concurrence and Affiliated since 1985. Time wise Education Department of this Institution was established in the year 1996. The department focuses on the basic aim of the education which is to bring modification in human behavior by creating an appetite among the learners to gather information and construct knowledge. The girl students are required to be skilled enough to meet their needs of valuable life. The Department of Education endeavours to achieve excellence by facilitating quality education to the girl students. The teachers of the department are mostly committed to make innovations in teaching and research.

HISTORY OF THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

• The Department of Education came into existence since 1996 Academic Sessions. It was introduced in B.A. Courses as a pass subject.
• In the year 2016, Education Honors was introduced in B.A Courses
• As it is a Teaching Learning group of subject, many students have passed in earlier years and they have prospered in their way of life and situation.
